With Batman: Arkham Knight being heavily rumored to be getting a remaster, there are certain character skins that are primed and ready to be included.

Recently, there have been rumblings and leaks about Batman: Arkham Knight getting a remaster for the new generation consoles. It would include 4K resolution with ray-tracing technology, improving upon what was already a visually stunning game. This could also allow for more skins to be given to the characters.

Time has passed since 2015 and DC has given Batman and all other playable characters in Arkham Knight different designs through comics, movies, shows, and even other games. Many designs both old and new deserve a spot in the remaster of Batman: Arkham Knight.

7 Red Hood

Classic Red Hood

It's actually surprising that this did not make it into the original release of Arkham Knight. The only options for Red Hood were his base skin which was a decent reimagining of the character and his skin as the titular Arkham Knight.

Both were fine choices but why only those two? Why not have the Red Hood design that the character is most famous for? Leather jacket, glowing white eyes on the red helmet, and a more grounded look. If it worked well in the Batman: Under The Red Hood animated film, there's no reason it wouldn't work in Arkham Knight.

Grant Morrison Red Hood

There were actually plans for more Red Hood skins but like many other pieces of content in the Arkham games, they were cut from Arkham Knight. One of the advertised skins for Red Hood was Grant Morrison's depiction of the character.

Morrison's Red Hood seems to be a big inspiration for the base Red Hood design, given the white color scheme and blank helmet. However, it also would have been a welcome stark contrast from the dark, grimy, and bleak-looking environments.

6 Batgirl

5 Fear State Batgirl

Batgirl-New Costume DC Comics

Batgirl was given no alternate skins which was a disappointment since she was one of the best playable characters in the Arkham games. One of the newest looks for Barbara Gordon that feels like a mix of all eras while also injecting some new flavor into the mix.

This Fear State version of Batgirl gives her a more vibrant color to her suit that would have given a more refreshing look compared to the all-black and gold suit that her base suit sports.

4 Leslie Grace Batgirl (2022)

With the Batgirl movie coming later in 2022, it would make sense to capitalize on the hype for it. Leslie Grace's Batgirl already is wearing a batsuit based on one of Batgirl's most iconic suits: the Batgirl of Burnside. As a result, it would basically be taking out two birds with one stone.

The suit already has fans excited for Leslie Grace's Batgirl due to it being a loyal adaptation but it still has its unique qualities. From the texture of the cowl to having an overall more homemade look, fitting Barbara's character.

3 Robin

Red Robin (New 52)

Red Robin and the Bat-Family assembled against Talon in Batman Eternal #52

Since Arkham City gave Tim Drake AKA the third Robin a depiction of the original Red Robin suit, perhaps Arkham Knight could introduce a later variant. The New 52 version of Red Robin met a middle ground between Tim Drake's classic Robin look and the original Red Robin design.

With Arkham Knight's emphasis on armored designs, this version of Red Robin could easily be translated. Even his feather-like cape was already somewhat portrayed via Azrael's cape.

Urban Legends Robin

Tim Drake as Robin in Batman: Urban Legends #6.

Tim Drake's more recent Robin design is a simple yet effective one. It retains the elements that make for a good Robin design but adds some armored bits and other unique aspects. As a result, it became one of Tim's best looks so far in the comics since it looks more like something Batman would make for his apprentice.

As a result, the more armored look could easily be translated to Arkham Knight since Tim Drake's base design is already armored. The more cloth-like Robin skins looked a little off and so perhaps the Urban Legends Robin would be a better choice.

2 Nightwing

HBO Max's Titans Nightwing

Overall, the live-action Titans series gets many things right and wrong when it comes to the characters. One of the things it has consistently done well is the portrayal of Dick Grayson AKA Nightwing with Brenton Thwaites giving one of the best performances on Titans.

Fans have loved the Nightwing suit that has elements of the comics, the Arkham Knight design, and even some Young Justice flavor. As a result, it would fit almost perfectly alongside the other skins that Nightwing has already.

Future State Nightwing

When it comes to the Future State event, almost everyone got drastically different designs and Nightwing was no exception. While it keeps the overall base look of a Nightwing suit, it goes for a more tactical design, almost like a militarized version Nightwing.

Arkham Knight already features a more armor-plated version of Nightwing so it's not exactly a stretch to see Rocksteady adding this suit to the remaster. Nightwing also heavily lacked in skins overall so any addition would be appreciated.

1 Batman

Rebirth Batman

Each subsequent Arkham game would market the comics by introducing iconic suits of Batman from the comics. From Batman: Earth One to the New 52 to even the First Appearance Suit, comic book fans were given a lot to choose from.

Now that the comics have continues to evolve and Rebirth has happened, it would make sense to include Batman's more modern suit from those comics. Many fans consider Rebirth to be one of the better modern reimaginings of the Caped Crusader due to the mix of many old and modern elements.

Dark Detective

Batman as the Dark Detective in an alley way in Future State comics

Another suit from the Future State event, this one is the result of Bruce Wayne being exposed as Batman and being forced to operate in the shadows as the Dark Detective. He doesn't have the cape, his suit is a basic body armor that leaves him exposed, and his cowl is more akin to a helmet.

Everything about this design for Batman is so different but at the same time, it works for him. As a result, it would be interesting to see how this suit would translate into Arkham Knight. Even the idea of the bat symbol being painted onto armor would be a neat aesthetic.

The Batman (2022)

It should be obvious why this skin needs to be put into the remaster of Arkham Knight. Matt Reeves' The Batman was a financial and critical success with Robert Pattinson's Batman earning nothing but praise. The suit itself is a work of art that takes from many comics while also distinguishing itself.

Arkham Knight already featured Adam West, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, and even Ben Affleck's Batman as a skin before Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice was ever released in theaters. Fans should have an option to play as Robert Pattinson.
