Page has added more great stories to his name outside of wrestling with his DDPY yoga program, but it all stems back to his wrestling time. The respect and credibility to come in the business made Page a relevant name for decades. Each of the following moments defined DDP during his wrestling career.
10 WrestleMania 18 European Championship Win
The WWE stint for Diamond Dallas Page was viewed as a huge failure with bad boking dooming him before too long. One rare cool moment from that time saw Page getting to retain a title on the biggest stage at WrestleMania 18.
DDP and Christian entered a feud over the latter’s temper tantrums when the former tried to help. The tension between the two paid off on this night with Page defeating Christian to retain the European Champion while receiving a strong crowd response at the SkyDome in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
9 Stealing The Show In His Final AEW Moment
AEW started convincing Diamond Dallas Page to have one more match as part of the Cody Rhodes vs MJF storyline. Page teamed up with Nightmare Family members Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall to face MJF, The Butcher, and The Blade.

Cody’s close bond with DDP was enough motive for Page to want to get his hands on MJF. The heels ended up winning the match, but DDP looked great to go out on a high note. This performance was so good that Page made it clear he didn’t want to risk it with another match elsewhere.
DDP's last match to date took place on the Bash at the Beach edition of AEW Dynamite, held on January 15, 2020. This looks like it will be Page's final wrestling match.
8 Lord Of The Ring Tournament Win
WCW had a unique concept with the BattleBowl series, placing random teams in matches and the winners advancing to a winner-take-all battle royal. The name was changed to the Lord of the Ring tournament at Slamboree 1996.
Diamond Dallas Page and The Barbarian were the random wrestlers placed together, winning two matches to advance to the battle royal. The win gave Page his first true push in WCW, using it to cheat his way to victories and get more television time.
7 Earning Title Shot In Star-Studded War Games Match
The War Games match concept being turned into a three-team match with a prize for the person to get the pin upset many fans that loved the original idea. WCW somewhat took away the team element even though it was still nWo Wolfpac vs nWo Hollywood vs WCW teams.
Diamond Dallas Page was the one to score the win for his team and earned himself a WCW Championship title shot. Even though the match is understandably buried today, the moment of Page winning made WCW fans ecstatic to see him getting a huge chance.
6 Wearing La Parka's Outfit To Trick Randy Savage
One of the coolest moments of Diamond Dallas Page’s career featured him wrestling in La Parka’s outfit when Randy Savage was facing the luchador. Page was flawless in this match even wrestling with La Parka’s style to keep fans unaware until the ending.
“La Parka” reversing some of Savage’s moves at the end started some murmuring before hitting the Diamond Cutter. Page tricking Savage received a massive pop and showed the connection that he had with the WCW audience.
5 First WCW Championship Win
Diamond Dallas Page winning the WCW Championship should be his #1 moment on paper, but there were some weird moments attached to it. WCW had Page return from a short absence, showing more of a heel side heading into a fatal-four title match.
Randy Savage was the special referee to help DDP win the title for the first time over Sting, Ric Flair, and Hulk Hogan. Even though the heel turn took away from it, Page winning the top prize in WCW was still a massive career achievement.
4 WWE Hall Of Fame Induction
The WWE Hall of Fame is considered one of the greater accomplishments a wrestler can achieve at the end of their career. Diamond Dallas Page was ecstatic about getting the honor when WWE called him to join their HOF in 2017.

3 Great Main Event Performance Vs Goldberg
WCW showed the ultimate trust in Diamond Dallas Page by placing him in the Halloween Havoc 1998 main event vs Goldberg. The War Games pin for his team at the previous PPV landed him a title shot and a chance to end Goldberg’s undefeated streak.
Page led Goldberg to the greatest match of his career with back-and-forth action in front of a hot crowd. WCW made the right call booking the rare face vs face match on a major stage. Goldberg won the match, but DDP delivered in his biggest test with flying colors.
2 Beating Randy Savage In First Big PPV Match
The rivalry between Diamond Dallas Page and Randy Savage helped Page get to the next level in his career. Savage joining the New World Order led to his first feud coming against Page with a lot of heated segments and noteworthy matches.
Spring Stampede 1997 was the stage for Savage and DDP to have their first match with the No DQ stipulation. Fans were stunned when Page won the match and scored a huge upset over the legend. This was the night DDP proved he could hang with top stars to keep building that main event momentum.
1 Tricking The Outsiders Into Thinking He Joined New World Order
WCW started the big push of Diamond Dallas Page by referencing his long-time friendship with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Page was still a mid-card heel, but fans were starting to cheer him for the cool Diamond Cutter finisher. Hall and Nash tried recruiting DDP to join the nWo and played into the organic fan response.
Everyone thought Page would join since he was a heel, but the fans hoped that he would turn them down. DDP put on the nWo shirt and swerved everyone before attacking the nWo. The fan reaction to Page getting the better of Hall and Nash truly set the wheels in motion for his huge run to the top.
