The success of Sid in wrestling saw him reaching both main event scenes in WWE and WCW. Fans knew him for various names in both promotions like Sid Vicious, Sid Justice, and Sycho Sid. The peak of Sid’s career in each promotion would land him at the top of the mountain as a WWE Champion and WCW Champion.

Sid clearly wasn’t the most gifted technical wrestler or strongest talker when looking back at his embarrassing moments. The look and size carried Sid to the top of the wrestling world before the mistakes became a bigger part of his legacy. Find out just what went down on-screen or behind the scenes to harm the legend’s reputation. The following moments were the most embarrassing of Sid’s career.
10 Arn Anderson Incident
Sid had one of the most terrible fights in wrestling history outside of the ring during an international WCW tour. Arn Anderson and Sid had an argument in a hotel lobby that escalated beyond the typical wrestling drama.

The two ended up fighting in a hotel room with Sid using a pair of scissors to stab Anderson and get the advantage. Other wrestlers broke it up and claimed there was blood everywhere. WCW fired Sid who didn’t take pride in this incident becoming part of his legacy.
9 Quitting WWE Due To Softball Games
WWE had huge plans for Sid when hiring him in the early ‘90s after his WCW stint. Hulk Hogan had a huge program with Sid heading into WrestleMania season. The returning Ultimate Warrior was expected to have a feud with Sid afterwards.
Those plans were put on hold when Sid failed a drug test. WWE reportedly wanted to have him serve a suspension, but Sid made the decision to leave on his own. The real passion of Sid was softball and he wanted to try to make that a career. It didn’t work out and he returned to WCW shortly after.
8 Getting Replaced By The Undertaker In Skyscrapers Tag Team
The first plans for Sid in WCW saw him teaming up with Dan Spivey in the Skyscrapers tag team with Teddy Long as their manager. WCW placed them in a feud against the Steiner Brothers to get established working with the top duo.
An injury to Sid would see him replaced by The Undertaker before he was a star in the industry. The new team of Spivey and Mean Mark Callous made it seem like Sid was an afterthought. WCW did him wrong here, but it did work out when he returned from his injury with a bigger push.
7 WM Match Vs Hulk Hogan
WWE placed Sid in a massive match at WrestleMania 8 against Hulk Hogan. The duo surprisingly main evented the show over the better technical match between Randy Savage and Ric Flair for the WWE Championship.
Sid didn’t have a good outing in the match and it was viewed as one of the worst WrestleMania main events of all time. Hogan had a few stinkers as well, but he proved that he could have a good one in outings against Randy Savage and Ultimate Warrior. Sid is remembered more negatively for his performance here.
6 Losing To El Gigante
WCW tried to humble Sid on his way out of the door in 1991. Sid was leaving for a bigger push in WWE and it wasn’t going to be an easy departure given he was heading to work for the rival competition in a major way.
El Gigante aka Giant Gonzalez was another rising star for WCW and even taller than Sid. The two faced off in a stretcher match that saw Gigante destroying Sid in about two minutes. WCW wanted to make him look weak to elevate their next pushed big man.
5 WrestleMania 13 Bathroom Botch
The most unlikely wrestler to main event WrestleMania twice was Sid when he received another chance in 1997. Shawn Michaels “losing his smile” to temporarily retire saw WWE needing a new main event and went with Sid vs The Undertaker for the WWE Championship.

The WrestleMania 13 match was lackluster with Undertaker getting his big moment winning the belt. However, things grew even more embarrassing for Sid when he accidentally pooped in his trunks. Many wrestlers have had that issue, but the timing of a WM main event is the worst scenario.
4 Chris Benoit Title Match Finish
WCW tried to elevate Chris Benoit into the main event scene as a last-ditch effort to keep him before his move to WWE. Benoit defeated Sid in the main event of Souled Out 2000 to win the WCW Championship for the first time.
However, it didn’t change his mind as he left the company one night later for WWE. There was a botched finish with Sid’s leg remaining under the rope. WCW used the logic to declare the title not meant to change hands with an incorrect finish, but Sid looked bad both tapping out in character and being responsible for the mistake.
3 Brutal Leg Injury
Sid suffered one of the most gruesome injuries in wrestling history towards the end of WCW. Anyone watching at the time will always remember Sid jumping from the top rope, landing on his foot, and seeing his leg twist.
The injury of Sid was obvious from the start, but he had to finish the match putting over Scott Steiner. Sid missed a few years due to the injury and the clip was shared online countless times throughout the years.
2 Getting Caught Lying About Missing Booking
One of the stranger stories from Sid came a few years ago when he was still taking independent wrestling show bookings. Smaller promotion AIW booked Sid like they did with many other legends, but he had a bizarre excuse about missing the event at the last minute.
The promoter leaked a phone call where Sid claimed that Donald Trump’s travel ban prevented him from flying. There was no ban on preventing citizens from the United States to travel from state to state, exposing Sid in a pointless lie.
1 "Half The Brain" Promo
Sid was not known for having the best wrestling promos and it showed during his feud with Kevin Nash. The duo of Scott Hall and Nash mocked Sid in a promo running down his intelligence back in WCW in the final years.
Fans were confused when Sid made his way to the ramp and retorted to The Outsiders. Sid uttered the all-time embarrassing promo botch of stating he had “half the brain” of Nash. The mistake turned into a hilarious botch that is still referenced today.
