10 Former Impact/TNA Wrestlers Who Surprisingly Are Still Wrestling

TNA/Impact Wrestling has had many wrestlers come in and out of those doors at the Impact Zone. Plenty of talents have kept lacing up the boots and wrestling in other promotions or working the indie scene. On the other hand, many have stepped away from wrestling and decided to make a living elsewhere.

It might be a little surprising to see where some Impact alumni have ended up and the fact that they are still performing today. Many names, either main event or lower card, are in other known promotions like WWE and AEW, while others travel show-to-show getting bookings where ever they please. So let's take a look at a few of the names that still wrestle currently and might just leave you shocked.
10 Wes Brisco
Wes Brisco's biggest moments in TNA/Impact wrestling were his short feud with Kurt Angle and joining Bully Ray in the Aces & Eights faction. Brisco would be let go from his contract in 2014, but that wouldn't be the end of his career. Brisco would immediately start working with NWA by representing them at New Japan Pro Wrestling's Wrestling Dontaku 2014 event.
Brisco and Rob Conway would make another appearance with NJPW challenging for the IWGP Tag Team Championships. Brisco now performs consistently on the independent scene mostly for the Atomic Legacy Wrestling promotion.
9 Garrett Bischoff
Son of legendary wrestling personality, Eric Bischoff, Garrett would join Impact Wrestling in 2010 as a part of the Immortal storyline. Just like Brisco, Bischoff would join the Aces & Eights stable to team with Brisco and feud with Kurt Angle.

Bischoff would leave Impact in 2015 and even file a lawsuit against the promotion alongside his father for unpaid earnings. Since leaving Bischoff would continue to team with Wes Brisco and even become tag team champion at the Atomic Legacy Wrestling promotion.
8 Chris Harris
Chris Harris would be most famous as one-half of the former NWA World Tag Team champions, America's Most Wanted, alongside James Storm. Harris would be a big name for Impact during their early days before he was let go in 2008. Harris would have a short stint working with WWE under the name Braden Walker on the ECW brand.
Since 2008, Harris has left WWE and now takes occasional indie bookings. The highlight of his TNA career has been making one-off appearances for his home company and even having a match alongside James Storm at the Against All Odds show in 2022.
7 Cute Kip
Cute Kip, a.k.a. Billy Gunn, would be a part of TNA from 2005 till 2009. Gunn would make appearances on the independent scene before making multiple returns to WWE alongside former tag team partner, Road Dogg. The New Age Outlaws would even hold WWE Tag Team gold before Gunn would leave the promotion once again.
Current day, Billy Gunn works alongside his two sons and The Acclaimed in AEW. Gunn has been performing since his early 20s and is currently reaching the end of his fourth decade in the business.
6 Lei'D Tapa
Lei'd Tapa would have a short tenure with Impact Wrestling before being released due to a lack of wrestling experience. After leaving, Tapa would mostly work indie shows like Ohio Valley Wrestling. Tapa also made an appearance in 2017 facing Ember Moon on WWE NXT and KiLynn King on an episode of AEW Dark.
Tapa's biggest departure was when she made her mixed martial arts career for the Rizin Fighting Federation where she lost two fights in 2015 and 2017.
5 Knux
Knux would get his breakout role in wrestling when he joined WWE as Mike Knox on their ECW brand in 2006 getting to have storylines along with Kelly Kelly and CM Punk. Mike would be released from WWE in 2010 before making his return to indie wrestling. Knox would get a contract with Impact Wrestling under the name, Knux, where he joined the Aces & Eights faction.
Knux would end up leading his own faction called The Menagerie before his departure with Impact. Knox can be found still wrestling today for NWA full-time, evening getting an NWA World Championship match against Trevor Murdoch.
4 Crimson
The highlight of Crimson's time in Impact Wrestling was his 470-day undefeated streak including wins over Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, and Bully Ray. Crimson would even win the TNA World Tag Team Championship alongside Matt Morgan. Crimson would leave Impact in 2012 and wrestle for Ohio Valley Wrestling.
Crimson would make a return to Impact and sign a contract with them in 2017 before leaving that same year. Crimson works on the indies consistently as well as making appearances with NWA, even becoming the NWA National Champion at one point.
3 Murphy
Murphy would join TNA/Impact as a bodyguard alongside Gunner for an extended tryout. Murphy's biggest moments in TNA were challenging for the TNA Television and TNA World Tag Team Championships. After leaving the promotion in 2011, Murphy would, like many other alumni, join NWA.

Murphy is still working for the promotion would be managed by James Mitchell and form a stable with other Max The Impaler. Murphy has yet to win any championships in NWA but did become the number-one contender for the world title in his debut.
2 Sarita
One-half of TNA's first even Knockout Tag Team Champions, Sarita, would have a long career before joining TNA including stints with Shimmer and CMLL. After working with TNA for five years, Stock would wrestle in promotions like Stardom and back to CMLL before signing a contract with WWE to be a trainer for their developmental brand, NXT.
She would work for WWE until being released in 2020. Sarita has since returned to wrestling for her home country Mexico's, Robles Promotion, in 2022, so far having a handful of matches.
1 Jeff Jarrett
TNA/Impact Wrestling founder Jeff Jarrett is reaching 56 years old and still wrestles a demanding schedule with the likes of AEW. Jarrett made his name in promotions like WWE and WCW before founding TNA in 2002. Jarrett would be a main event name almost everywhere he has gone and continues to help younger talent in AEW.
Since leaving Impact Wrestling, Jarrett returned to WWE as a Hall of Famer working with the likes of Elias, The Usos, and The Street Profits on multiple occasions. Jarrett was also the opponent for Ric Flair during his final match alongside Andrade El Idolo and Jay Lethal.
