10 Entrance Theme Songs That Didn't Fit The Wrestler At All

Theme music is an integral part of a superstar's presentation, and the right theme music can help catapult a wrestler to superstardom. But what about the other end of the spectrum?
Certain wrestlers' theme songs are perfectly tailored to them. Stone Cold is synonymous with his glass-breaking theme. Also, many WWE fans thought that Triple H and Big Show sang their songs, and it is because the lyrics and music just felt like an extension of their characters.
However, that is the best-case scenario. Sometimes the entrance music does not fit the wrestler, and it is awkward or conveys the wrong message about the superstar. In these instances, the theme music becomes a detriment that the wrestlers have to overcome instead of an asset to get them over. So let us go through a few wrestlers whose themes do not fit.

10 Jon Moxley's "Wild Thing" AEW Theme Is Too Fun
Jon Moxley's theme in AEW is Wild Thing. It is very popular because it is easily one of the most recognizable themes in AEW, and it is just a really fun, distinct song. However, it does not really fit Moxley's character. Moxley's character is about violence and edge, and he is supposed to be the embodiment of a bad***. However, his entrance theme, Wild Thing, is not violent or edgy. It does not feel like someone dangerous has arrived when you hear his music. Instead, lt sounds fun, like the party has just started, which presents Moxley more like a caricature of a tough guy.
9 Toni Storm's AEW Theme Lacks Chaos
Toni Storm had an amazing theme when she was in NXT called Lightning Thunder. Everything about the song seemed tailor-made to fit not only Toni Storm but also a wrestling entrance. Just listening to the music alone, you can easily see through the song's progression how Storm would make an entrance to it. However, Storm's new song, Watch What's Next takes one step back. It does not feel like an awesome superstar theme that perfectly fits Storm. It feels like an awesome song that Toni happens to use for her entrance. It has the all-important distinctive first note, but then the first vocals that follow are not ruckus enough to be Storm's intro into every arena.
8 Christian's "Just Close Your Eyes" WWE Theme Didn't Fit His Character
Christian's theme, Just Close Your Eyes, has the critical punch you need in a theme song. However, the long notes that come up right afterward bring the energy of his entrance down a bit. Also, as a song, it really did not fit his character. Christian was either a cocky jerk or a cool babyface underdog. Christian had his peeps, and he would often claim to be Captain Charisma, but that charisma was not present in his entrance. Christian's swagger was not present in his entrance. If you had never seen WWE and had to judge superstars based on their entrance music, you would probably pick up underdog vibes, but you would probably not think he was supposed to be very cool.
7 Liv Morgan's "Watch Me" Theme Has A Good Intro, But Is Otherwise Generic
Liv Morgan has had her theme changed a couple of times. Her previous theme NaNa was the best version of the theme, and it had an interesting and distinctive beginning that always lets you know Morgan has arrived. Also, the rest of the song progressed like it was an entrance theme for a pop star, and it was one of those themes you could just listen to on your playlist. However, the following variation, Watch Me keeps the distinctive beginning, but then it has a bunch of fast-paced party sounds that ruin the song. It sounds like the song itself is trying to rush through Morgan's entrance.
6 Doudrop's "I Does It" Theme Doesn't Sound Intimidating
Doudrop's theme, I Does it, is not entirely terrible. It seemed like WWE was going for a song that was poppy enough to serve her face persona with menacing production for her heel persona and physicality. However, WWE should look at stars like Samoa Joe and Big Show. Their WWE songs leaned into their attitude as big tough wrestlers. Both songs were imposing and distinctive, and fans loved them. Doudrop's song should be the same. It should feel like a threat has arrived when her music hits, and I Does it does not deliver on that.

5 Shayna Baszler's Current Remix Of Her NXT Theme Is Awful
Shayna Baszler is one of the toughest women in WWE. She has a legit fighting background, and she is a nasty competitor. If you make the wrong move in a match with her, you might be on the shelf for a while. Her entrance music needs to convey her aura of fear and brutality. Her old music, Loyalty is Everything did that it was distinctive and imposing, and it allowed her to show off her confidence in her entrance. Also, the track just sounded like a soundtrack to a fight night. Her new song sounds like a generic version of her old song—soulless and devoid of everything that made the original special.
4 Ricochet's "It's About To Go Down" Theme Is Too Soft
Ricochet is another superstar with a great theme that fits him perfectly, but it was changed. His old theme, One and Only, was loud and distinctive. It started with a strong voice saying one and only. The music sounded comic book-inspired like it was either presenting a hero or spectacle or both. The new theme, It's About To Go Down, is worse in every way. The one and only line is said softer. The whole song is meeker, and there are random "ays" in there despite the song's lack of hype. Also, it feels like the song does not know what it wants to say about Ricochet. It is just there.
3 Sonya Deville's Theme Song Doesn't Fit Her Cowardly Character
Sonya Deville's song Pride Fighter does not fit her. It is a rap song, and it is good. It just does not match up with Sonya Deville. When you hear that song, you can hear that it's for a fierce competitor, someone hungry. The song's hunger for success comes across, but it does not appear in Sonya's character. Sonya's character is tough, sort of. She has a tough fighting style, but she can be a coward at times. She is extremely smug and arrogant, but none of that is represented in her song. Stephanie McMahon also has a rap song as her entrance. However, unlike Sonya Deville, Stephanie's theme is very much in tune with her character.
2 Happy Corbin's Current Theme Is Simply Annoying
Baron Corbin has generally had good themes in his WWE career. His first song, "I Bring The Darkness", was by far the best. It was a warrior's song, and the angry lyrics and production fit his character perfectly. However, fast forward to Corbin's Happy Corbin gimmick, and he has one of the worst themes in WWE today. It starts with slot machines. It sounds like Corbin hit the jackpot, as he did in Vegas. However, that was only applicable the night it happened. The song focuses on Corbin winning, but he is not the guy who just won a lot of money anymore. He is a rich, arrogant jerk, and his song should reflect that. JBL is someone Happy Corbin should look to model the tone of his theme after.

1 Peyton Royce's Theme As A Singles Star In WWE Had No Character
Peyton Royce and Billie Kay had Iconic music when they were together. However, when they controversially split and Peyton Royce went out on her own, things did not go well. One of the first signs Peyton Royce's singles run was not going to go well was the theme music. Peyton's theme song, Honey, was one of the most generic theme songs WWE has ever presented. It did not tell the audience anything about Peyton. It did not even feel like WWE tried, and it sounded like a WWE 2k-created character theme. Michael Cole said it best " Well, ladies and gentlemen, there is nothing Iconic about this entrance."
