Curt Hennig is a WWE Hall of Famer, former AWA World Champion, WWE Intercontinental Champion, WCW US and Tag Team Champion. His Mr. Perfect gimmick is one of the absolutely great gimmicks in WWE history. The gimmick was successful because Curt Hennig was darn near perfect.

Hennig debuted in 1980 as Cool Curt Hennig in the AWA. Hennig would pass away of drug intoxication in 2003 at only 44 years old. While Hennig was on the downside of his career, as we have seen with professional wrestlers he would have had several great years left. Hennig was a technical mastermind, who could have been a gatekeeper to the Ruthless Aggression Era. Hennig was released from WWE in 2002, after the infamous Plane Ride From Hell. Yet, as we have seen time and time again, legends never die in WWE. Mr. Perfect would have had one more great WWE run left in his career.
10 Kurt Angle
We got a taste of the battle of the Curts (or Kurts!) in the 2002 Royal Rumble. Curt Hennig was a surprise entrance and would Perfect-Plex the Olympic gold medalist, Kurt Angle. The two technician experts could have put on a professional wrestling clinic together. While Hennig at 6'3 would have the size advantage on the Olympian, Angle was in the prime of his athletic career in 2002. Both superstars could cut a great professional wrestling promo. Fans would have ate up the match that these two professional athletes could have delivered. Their matchup could have been WrestleMania worthy.
9 Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho was an established star on Monday Night Raw when Curt Hennig passed away. Jericho was a decade younger than Hennig, but was having great matches with veterans during his early 2000s run. Y2J Chris Jericho had memorable feuds with Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair, and could have delivered another noteworthy feud with Mr. Perfect. As was the case with Angle, Hennig would have the size advantage against Jericho. The two stars could have delivered an exciting match with either star playing the role of heel or face. Watching Hennig work his way out of the Liontamer and Jericho breaking out of the Perfect-Plex would have been must-see television.
8 Edge
Edge and Mr. Perfect are very similar performers in WWE. Both men are known for their all around versatility. Both men are similar in size, with Hennig having a small strength advantage and Edge having a speed advantage. Both men loved to perform with the lights on bright and both could cut a scathing promo on one another. Edge would have been on his ascension to WWE super stardom when Hennig passed away. If Edge could have had a memorable feud with a WWE legend on his way to the main event, he could have been even better for it.
7 Batista
At 6'3 and almost 260 pounds Hennig would be larger than many of his opponents in WWE, but that would not be the case against the monster Batista. The 6'5, near 300 pound Batista would have had a staggering size and strength advantage against Hennig. Yet, Hennig's experience and veteran trickery could have given him a chance against the inexperienced Batista. Batista would join Evolution in 2003, and what a great way to get the big man over an early feud with the Perfect One would've been. Hennig could have gotten a great match out of Batista and taught him some tricks at the same time.
6 Shelton Benjamin
In many ways Shelton Benjamin is the modern day Mr. Perfect. Shelton has been a near main event performer in WWE, a technical wizard who has not been able to claim the World Heavyweight title (same could be said for Curt Hennig). Benjamin joined the main roster in late 2002 and would become a singles star in 2004.

Just imagine how the two shooters could have rocked the crowd in a rookie versus veteran feud. Benjamin is a University of Minnesota amateur wrestling legend, while Curt Hennig is a state of Minnesota professional wrestling legend. Throw the Intercontinental title on the line and watch the stars align.
5 The Rock
In late 2004, The Rock's full time wrestling career would come to an end. Which means most likely there was only a short window of opportunity for The Rock and Mr. Perfect to clash. Yet, that window would have been worth taking a shot. Hennig could have easily picked a fight with The Rock. Hennig could not touch The Rock's silver tongue on the microphone, but Hennig could have made enough references to being the better generational talent. Hennig telling The Rock that his dad the Axe was tougher than The Rock's dad, Rocky Johnson would have been heel gold.
4 John Cena
John Cena as the Dr. of Thuganomics would have been a memorable feud with Curt Hennig. Hennig's most entertaining storyline in WCW included a tag team title run as the West Texas Rednecks. During that run, Hennig would have a feud with rapper, Master P. Master P's stable the No Limit Soldiers would fail in WCW against The Rednecks. Hennig would perform the song 'Rap is Crap" and that type of hype would have worked perfectly as a heel against the rising John Cena. Cena cutting a rap on Perfect would have been highly entertaining. Hennig could have helped a young Cena develop in the ring as well.
3 Vince McMahon
Vince McMahon would have feuds with Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart. A feud with Mr. Perfect would have been absolutely... perfect. Hennig coming back and shooting on McMahon's guidance during his career would have been gold. A face Hennig could have pointed out the lack of opportunities given to him during the Golden Era of WWE.

Hennig versus McMahon would have worked famously. Hennig could have called out McMahon for making him a scapegoat of the "Plane Ride From Hell". Hennig getting the rub of facing the boss, could have moved Hennig up to one last main event run.
2 Triple H
A feud was teased between Mr. Perfect and Hunter Hearst Helmsley in 1996. Yet, the duo would swerve the fans and Hennig would become a mentor to Hunter Hearst Helmsley before leaving WWE in late 1996. Hennig challenging Triple H over a rightful spot in Evolution would have made great television. As a former Triple H mentor, Hennig could have felt he deserved inclusion in the dynamic super group. Hennig and Triple H are very similar sized opponents, who would have delivered a technical masterpiece. A feud with Triple H would have also given Hennig that one last chance of obtaining the WWE World Championship that was missing from his resume.
1 Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar and Curt Hennig were real life friends. Lesnar attributes Hennig for opening up his eyes to the professional wrestling business. Hennig actually has several dark match victories over Brock Lesnar before the Next Big Thing made his main roster debut. A prank on the aforementioned "Plane Ride From Hell" led to Hennig and Lesnar having a real wrestling encounter. The big men would be separated and Hennig would be released from his WWE contract due to the plane ride actions. Hennig coming back and blaming Lesnar for his release could have led to a great WWE feud between two good friends.
