Professional wrestlers have more opportunities than ever before to build their own brands outside the wrestling world. Wrestlers today have the likes of The Rock, John Cena and Batista to thank, as all three have proven to Hollywood that wrestlers can act and be big draws at the box office. Now, wrestlers have opportunities to make movies on the side, and having a viable career on their hands once their wrestling days are over. 10 Edge - Money Plane

Plays A Thief Attempting To Steal A Valuable Painting

  • Money Plane Was Released In 2020
  • The Film Also Stars Kelsey Grammer And Denise Richards
  • Holds A 23% Approval Rating On Rotten Tomatoes

While Edge is no longer in WWE and is now performing as Adam Copeland in AEW, all wrestling fans are aware that Copeland has pursued some acting outside of wrestling. And with Copeland admitting that he's winding down his wrestling career in the near future, he'll likely be turning to acting once he hangs up his boots for good. While fans are aware that Copeland has had a successful acting career, the majority of his major roles have come via television rather than movies. However, the WWE Hall of Famer has appeared in several, including "Money Plane" which saw him take on the lead role.

He got the chance to play a thief who is attempting to steal a specific painting and it leads to this becoming a heist movie that features plenty of action to keep audiences hooked.

The movie is a comedy where the lead character is looking to find some cash inside a fraternity house, which is where Paul comes in. It's a funny story and while Paul isn't one of the lead characters, he does a solid job throughout his scenes.

7 Wade Barrett - I Am Vengeance

Barrett was placed in the lead role for the action movie "I Am Vengeance," and while this isn't a Hollywood blockbuster, it was successful enough to lead to a sequel which he was also in, showcasing his ability to carry a franchise.

Charlotte Flair is one of the biggest names on the WWE roster and considering how well-known her father is, it isn't a surprise that she has had the chance to push out into the acting world as well. It's something that will likely be an option for her as a career down the line, but so far her biggest role to date happened in "Psych: The Movie."

This was only a small role where she got to give people a glimpse of how entertaining she can be in an acting role. It also featured John Cena making a cameo appearance, with this being a rare example of two wrestlers appearing in the same film.

"The Wrestler" is the most well-known movie about the professional wrestling business, and because it is such a highly regarded story people often just get wrapped up in it. What they often forget is that several legitimate wrestlers end up making cameo appearances throughout it.

One of those is R-Truth who gets a brief moment in the movie where he showcases respect to Mickey Rourke's character. It's only a quick scene, but it helps to add a lot more realism to the movie for wrestling fans.

3 MVP - MacGruber

  • Heavily Promoted By WWE, With Appearances From Chris Jericho, The Great Khali, Mark Henry And Kane
  • Based On The Saturday Night Live Sketch Of The Same Name
  • The Film Was A Box Office Flop, Failing To Earn Back Its $10 Million Budget

"MacGruber" was a comedy movie that got some attention when it was first released, and a big reason for that was because WWE heavily promoted it. However, at this point in time, it is certainly something that most people have ended up forgetting about.

Despite that, there are many professional wrestlers involved in this with the likes of Chris Jericho, The Great Khali, and Kane all being featured. When it comes to the current roster, it is MVP who fans can find in this particular movie.

Rey Mysterio's movie role is a slightly more obscure one, which is why it is more understandable that people wouldn't be aware of it. Mysterio wasn't someone who appeared physically in "Freddy Vs. Jason" but he did do a lot of work behind the scenes.

That's because he worked as the stunt double for Freddy Krueger throughout this movie, taking many of the bumps and bruises for the horror icon due to his experience in professional wrestling.
