The story of Magnum T.A. - a competitor who seemed destined for the World Championship in the 1980s - deserves to be revisited frequently. Before a car accident forced his premature retirement, Magnum was a charismatic performer whose handsome features were complemented by his valor and integrity.
In a scene worthy of a Tom Selleck series, Magnum once came to the defense of his mother. During a contract signing for an NWA United States Title match, his opponent Nikita Koloff insulted Marion Allen, who had accompanied her son to the signing. He did, however, make the unwise move of getting physical with NWA President Bob Geigel, who went on to strip Magnum of his US Title.
